Stella Fix Universal Anchor by TIMCO
The Why!
One of the services I provide to my clients is the installation of TV brackets. I became increasingly frustrated with the kits included with these brackets, as they are primarily designed for solid walls. My first experience using these was when a customer supplied them, and since then, I have made it standard practice to always carry them on the van.
So what's in the box?
Quite simply, 25 fixings

First Impressions
So from opening the box I felt that the quality was there, the plastic materials used don't feel brittle or cheap
Performance
The plus side of these fixings is that as well as being suited to plasterboard walls they are also capable of working in a solid wall such as brick or even timber.
I drill the hole slightly deeper than the fixing so I know it won't foul on the wall when completely tightened up.
I have used these on fixed brackets and also those with arms. Such as the Invision HDTV-DXL TV Bracket that I reviewed here.
This particular bracket has very smooth movement which will put less stress on the fixings.
Quick Tip
Customers will quite often supply their own brackets and if the type they choose has moveable arms I will always check how free the movement is and if necessary loosen the bolt on the joints to enable smoother action.
Conclusion
- I use these all the time
- They are more than capable of the job they are required for
- Nothing can give you 100% confidence when working with palsterboard but this is the closest to it
- Easy to use and remove again
- Comes in two sizes
